Rottnest Island19km off the coast of Perth is majestic Rottenest Island. Margaret River
One of Perth’s major tourist spots, the town of Margaret River offers an escape from the hectic city pace, with picturesque natural surroundings and a veritable plethora of attractions ensuring every visitor walks away enchanted with the place. Kings Park
Perth’s premier recreational park, Kings Park is interlaced with tracks that accommodate a leisurely walk, a brisk run, or some top quality cycling. With stunning views over the city, it’s also home to the award winning Fraser’s fine dining restaurant and Perth’s Botanical Gardens.
WACA
One of most famous cricketing arenas on the planet, the West Australian Cricket Ground is feared by visiting batsmen the world over as the fieriest, most lethal pitch in the southern hemisphere. It’s just a ten-minute walk from Aarons Hotel Perth.
Barrack Street Jetty
Sitting at the end of Barrack Street and overlooking the lovely Swan River, the Jetty is actually a complex of cafes and restaurants and is the gateway for ferries to the Perth Zoo and beautiful Rottnest Island. For a bird’s eye view of the city, join one of the daily tours to the top of Bell Tower.
Swan River
Just 5 minutes walk from Aarons Hotel Perth, the Swan River winds languidly through the city and in addition to offering watersports such as windsurfing and boating, it’s also flanked by running, cycling and walking tracks. Highly recommended for those wanting to get out and about without leaving the confines of the city.

Museums & Art Galleries
For cultural attractions, admire the artwork housed in the Art Gallery of Western Australia, or stroll around the West Australian Museum for a journey of a more historical nature in Beaufort St, Northbridge.

There’s no shortage of horse racing excitement in Perth. Get trackside and back a winner at Ascot, Belmont, and Gloucester Park Race Courses - all within easy reach from the Hotel.

The big-screen, 3D spectacle that is IMAX is awaiting your viewing pleasure in Northbridge. For a more conventional cinema-going experience, try Cinema Paradiso (also in Northbridge), or Hoyts, Cinecentre and Piccadilly Cinema Centre, all on Hay St in the city centre.

Burswood Casino
For those wanting a roll of the dice, the Burswood Casino is the place to get involved. The complex also has tennis courts, a golf course, and enough restaurants to cater to a range of tastes.
Hay Street Mall
For a retail fix, there’s no better place than the Hay St Mall for a shopping tour. The largest shopping complex in Perth, its home to literally hundreds of boutiques, chain stores, department stores, and eateries.
Theatre
Perth’s thriving cultural scene sees fantastic plays and shows running on high rotation at the Playhouse and Her Majesty’s Theatre in the city, and the Regal and Old Mill Theatres in Subiaco and South Perth respectively.

Kings Park Festival

The annual Kings Park Festival has blossomed into a month long celebration that includes an intensive program of events throughout wildflower September. Famous for the colourful displays of native wildflowers throughout the Botanic Garden, the festival also provides a delightful range of community activities to suit all ages and interests. Choose from a variety of gardening and art workshops, take a guided wildflower and bird walk, ‘meet an artist' at the Aspects of Kings Park retail gallery, enjoy free live musical and theatrical entertainment in the Botanic Garden, take a stroll through the Wildflower Marketplace and much, much more.
Royal Perth Agriculture Show
25th September - 2nd October
The country comes to the city as pavilions burst with action during the Show. Newly born chicks and hungry baby goats, champion bulls and dairy cows, dogs on show and cats with attitude will share the limelight with working draught horses, curious alpacas, sheep, chooks, pigeons and other farm animals. There is art, photography, bold and beautiful creative crafts and prize winning decorated cakes. The ABC trailer is moving in for the Show and you can walk the beat at the Police Pavilion. WA producers are showcasing fresh produce and colourful regional displays take centre stage alongside floral creations. You can be at one with nature at the Land Experience or opt for a little retail therapy.
